Featured Book Club
The Spring 2003 Featured Book Club is the Adalia Book Club of Los Angeles. Below are a few photographs taken from their meeting on April 12, 2003. Thanks for selecting Having It All? for discussion.

The Adalia Book Club of Los Angeles. Members: (Left) Debra Jackson, Catherine Carroll,
Darecia Scott, Pamela Taylor, Connie Sulker-Hall. (Right) Alycia Moore, Traci Melton,
Lisa Franklin, Katherine Coleman.

Yes, we all want it all, especially if it comes with dessert.

The members of the Adalia Book Club decorated the banquet table with festive pinks and oranges,
the colors on the cover of Having It All?
Book Clubs
I get lots of mail from book clubs that discuss my books, Mama's Girl, in particular. I hope that Having It All? Black Women and Success will provide much conversation fodder for book clubs across the country.
I also know that book clubs are the life blood of any author's readership and I am unbelievably grateful for your support. So much so, that while I can't visit every book club that writes me, I would love to feature your book club on this Web site.
Every three months, I will feature a different book club on this site. If you're a part of a book club and would like to be featured on my Web site, please e-mail me your address, a picture of the members of your club and a paragraph about your favorite book your group has read. The winning club will be featured on this page and will receive an autographed copy of my latest book.

Bookplates
It's not as much fun as meeting in person, but I am happy to send you an autographed bookplate to put in as many of my books as you own. (This comes in handy around the holidays when I sign lots of my kids books as presents!) All you have to do is e-mail me and tell me how you'd like the bookplate addressed - I'll sign it to you, a friend, a neighbor, with whatever message you want. Don't worry about the shipping costs. I'll send you the bookplate free of charge. It's my way of saying thank you for reading my books.
